Sebring School District continues Game Changer Training through weekly Game Changer Challenges

In the 2020-21 school year, Sebring School District continued their Game Changer efforts by implementing Career Skills Network's weekly Game Changers Challenges. Hosted by Careefree Education Service Group, a virtual training was provided for the teachers on how to use the Game Changer curricula in August 2020, and then were provided access to 36 Game Changer Challenge Videos, graphics and several complied YouTube clips highlighting and challenged students, staff and parents to practice Game Changer Terrific 10 Behaviors. Career Skills Network Brings Game Changer Training to Sebring School District (2-year Project)

 Beginning January 2020 through March 2020, Career Skills Network (CSN) provided the 2-day, Game Changer training for every 5th through 12th grade student in Sebring School District. This project was a collaborative effort among, CSN, Sebring and Carefree Education Service Group. Teachers also had the opportunity to attend; rotating in and participating during their free periods. The Game Changer training fun-filled, interactive lessons designed to increase social, emotional and leadership skills. The training was a great success. Celebrating Game Changer Success at Alvin Elementary

In October, Career Skills Network staff implemented "Game Changer" a social and emotional learning (SEL) skill development program for the entire 5 th Grade student body at Alvin Elementary. Principal Karla Kylng said, "our 5 th graders are great and we wanted to focus on teaching the whole child. The students and teacher mentors participated in a variety of interactive "Games" that focused on building bravery, social-skills, kindness, self-awareness, self-control, self-motivation and persistence, trustworthiness, and optimism. Career Skills Network Conducts Keynote at “Career Day” in Lubbock, Texas

Region 17 Education Service Center and Texas Workforce Commission held "Career Day" in Lubbock, Tx on November 5th. Over 225 students and 75 adults attended this outstanding event. Dr. Kate Cirillo, Executive Director, Career Skills Network, along with many other business leaders, conducted several breakout sessions with the students. Dr. Cirillo was also the Keynote Speaker for the event. Students learned about careers, social and emotional intelligence and practiced the "above the line" behaviors that employers value in the workplace. What an amazing event!!!

Career Skills Network Participated in New School Opening

​Career Skills Network helped with the grand opening of Gila Crossing Community School in Arizona. The Career Skills Network team provided a training for school staff, school board members and industry leaders. The program was filled with engaging and fun team-building activities that teachers could use to connection with students to make the start of their school year a success. Dr. Kate Cirillo, Executive Director stated, "Our goal was to increase teacher-student and staff connections.
